September 24, Nikolas R. Schiller will present 8 maps of 8 locations of the 8 wards of DC. Schiller was awarded a D.C. Commission on the Arts & Humanities Young Emerging Artist Grant and was commissioned to produce the maps.
As required by the grant Schiller donated one set of the maps to the Library of Congress’ Geography & Mapping Division. This division of the Library of Congress boasts the world’s largest collection of maps, atlases, globes, and aerial photographs. This Sunday, the maps will be on display in Schiller’s neighborhood playground from 5 pm – 10 pm. Located between 9th & 10th and S & T streets, NW – just follow the map.
