A couple of things to watch out for at the National Building Museum coming up in March.

March 3rd
Saturday 10 am – 12 pm
Gage School – Construction Watch tour

Built in 1904, the historic Nathaniel P. Gage School in Washington DC’s Bloomingdale/Ledroit Park neighborhood is under going a welcome transformation. Open only to Museum members, $20.

March 7th
Wednesday 6:30 pm – 8 pm
Green Design: The Myth and Reality

The Viikki Community of Helsinki is the world’s largest and most ambitious green housing development project. This lecture is held in conjunction with the Green House. Museum members, $12, non-members, $20.

March 20th
Tuesday 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
Retailers Reap Savings by Cutting Energy Costs

Retail stores with square footage up to 20,000 have much to gain when they reduce energy use by 30% or more, including cost savings and increased comfort for customers. This lecture is free and registration is not required.

March 29th
Thursday 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
Conservation Lessons from the Cascade Agenda

Ryan Dicks, vice president of Conservation Transactions for Cascade Land Conservancy (CLC), will speak about CLC’s progress on gaining a strong understanding of the market forces when acquiring conservation easements. This lecture is free and registration is not required.
